Approach

Our core environmental, social, and governance practices are directly consistent with the sustainable development goals and the contributions of each country established under the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change. We focus on biodiversity protection, agricultural production, clean water, and societal investment in communities within our region of East Africa.

We work closely with all local stakeholders to provide direct and measurable positive contributions to healthy community development. This focus on helping local communities is a core composition of our business philosophy and strategy, and is a key driver of our performance metrics. We push beyond economic values to those directly aligned with relevant sustainable development goals. This philosophy is central to our social capital and license to operate. We also design our financing around investors who share these core beliefs within their own development expectations and outcomes.
